On this day 13 years ago (my 30th Birthday), I decided to make a change and commit to living a healthy life. So, I started on this journey to lose weight. THIS JOURNEY HAS NOT BEEN EASY BUT IT HAS BEEN WORTH IT! I have lost over 200 pounds and have added years to my life and a passion to help others on their health and FITness journey. During my FITness journey and zest for life, I fell in love with being physically FIT and with the sport of running. In 2016, I ran over 35 races, 13 of which were half marathons (in 10 different states) and I placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in my division in two 5k’s and one half marathon. As my love for running increased, the name “She Ran Herself FIT” seemed appropriate for this FITness platform. Today, at the age of 43, I am loving life and I am as healthy as I have ever been.
My mission is to promote healthy living amongst my peers but even more so among women and children. My goal is to focus on women because the obesity rate of women in the U.S has skyrocketed to more than 40% while the obesity rate of men has remained the same in the last decade. This increase in women obesity correlates to the 80% of American adults who are not meeting the physical activity recommended for aerobic and muscle strengthening. Obesity and weight problems amongst children is another area that is near and dear to my heart because I too dealt with weight as a child. Today, 1 in 3 children in America are overweight or obese. To help combat this epidemic, I want to help stop obesity in its tracks by working with children.

Today I relaunch my website and I ask that you go support my efforts by purchasing a "She Ran Herself Fit" shirt.
A portion of the proceeds from shirt sales (at least 5%) will be donated to the Children Obesity Fund. For more information about this charity or to make a direct contribution, please visit childrensobesityfund.org.
Thanks for all your support
